Community and Culture Emphasis

Based in Omaha, the community and culture emphasis prepares students to identify, communicate and understand the nuances of rural, urban or global community organizations. C&C is designed for students with a background in education, as well as students with interest in non-profit work, community development, government, management and counseling. A culminating immersion experience will let students observe and participate in a rural, urban or global location to develop the application of practical skills. This 57-credit hour program includes a 27-hour specialization in community and culture, an 18-hour doctoral core, and 12 dissertation credits.

Leadership Emphasis

Based in Lincoln, the leadership emphasis prepares students for roles as academic leaders who use, analyze and produce data that helps inform decisions and practices. This program is a seamless continuation of Doane's Education Specialist degree (EdS), but available to students from outside institutions as well. This 57-credit hour program includes a 27-hour specialization in leadership, an 18-hour doctoral core, and 12 dissertation credits.
